CONTEMPORARY LITERARY WRITINGS: A STUDY ON POST-MODERNIST POETICS

This paper analyzes current artistic manifestations that could be interpreted as lyrical forms of literature. We analyze poems that are written to be part of the urban landscape, poetry used in walls of cities, as instruments of reflection and resistance to social actions of oppression and violence, from where predominantly derives the political nature of these postmodernist poetics. The research was based on the selection of 50 images of short poems transcribed in walls of Brazilian cities, in order to compose a random sample of poetic texts that could reveal characteristics common to these productions. The texts were organized and categorized through content analysis, based on the most representative thematic elements.
