CONTRIBUTIONS OF A MOBILE APPLICATION TO THE TEACHING AND LEARNING OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE IN THE PROEJA

This research aimed to understand the possible contributions of a mobile application for teaching and learning English at PROEJA. As a data collection instrument, direct observation, a questionnaire and a field diary were used, being carried out with high school students integrated in the EJA modality of a Federal Institute. The data were formed from the perspective of Bardin (2016), through which three final categories emerged, which were: i) The teaching and learning process of LI and the contributions of ICTs; ii) The mobile app in the context of emotional factors; iii) A new way to use and learn English. Thus, it was found that the educational use of the application contributed to the maintenance and elevation of factors such as: safety, motivation and self-esteem, making teaching learning more dynamic and attractive.
